Telegram 9.1 released with 7 new features

Telegram has released a new update for the application in the Google Play Store. The latest version of the application is version 9.1. This update brings a series of improvements and new features.

The biggest new improvement is the presence of ‘Topics’ for group chats. Topics can now be enabled for groups with more than 200 members, where you can create separate groups for different topics. The function is a bit reminiscent of WhatsApp Communities.

Another new feature that has been added is collectable usernames. For this you need to have some knowledge about blockchain, since it is not a free function. They are usernames with a maximum of four characters. Special usernames such as hype, gold, ford or others can be purchased or traded through TON. Other usernames can also be traded in this way.

Telegram 9.1 also brings the possibility to adjust all chat text in size by means of a new slider. So also the previews, answer sections and more. Furthermore, Telegram has added new interactive emoji and new animations. For the Telegram Premium users, there are speech-to-text videos that convert videos into text. Furthermore, there are 12 new emoji packs.

The update for Telegram 9.1 is available in the Google Play Store. For iOS users, Telegram has introduced a new dark theme, which makes colors more balanced with better blurring effects.
