TCL NXTPAPER 12 Pro official: tablet with detachable keyboard

TCL has announced its NXTPAPER 12 Pro tablet at the CES technology show. The device packs a QHD screen, a detachable keyboard and a stylus.

TCL tablet with detachable keyboard

TCL mainly releases phones in the low price segment in the Netherlands and Belgium and it launched another new line-up at CES. Still, televisions remain the most important products for TCL and perhaps that is why the brand dares to venture into more powerful specifications when it comes to tablets. They focus more on image quality. The NXTPAPER 12 Pro has a 12.2 inch QHD display and it works with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.

It comes with a stylus that attaches magnetically to the back, but the device also works with a detachable keyboard accessory that comes with it. Thanks to its dual microphone, the device is suitable for video meetings and there are also four speakers. The tablet has a dual 8 MP camera at the front and a single 13 MP sensor at the rear.

No Android 13

It is striking that TCL launches the tablet with the older Android 12 and therefore misses out on the tablet functions that come with the Android 12L and Android 13 updates. It is also unknown whether TCL will update the tablet at a later date. The company has equipped its NXTPAPER 12 Pro with a special split-screen function, floating windows and a desktop mode.

In addition to the NXTPAPER 12 Pro, the company also launched an affordable TCL Tab 8 LE. It comes with an 8-inch screen and light specifications. It has an HD screen, 32 GB storage and a 5 MP camera.
