T-Mobile stops with 5G surcharge for subscriptions

T-Mobile will stop charging a surcharge for those who want access to 5G on their non-Unlimited subscription. Until now you had to pay off 2.00 euros per month with these subscriptions.

T-Mobile surcharge for 5G

T-Mobile has made a change to its mobile subscriptions. The provider has quietly removed the fee for access to the 5G network. With Go Unlimited subscriptions, support for 5G was already included, but this was not the case with subscriptions with a data bundle. However, for €2.00 per month you could enable this, so that you could use the 5G network with your 5G smartphone. T-Mobile tells DroidApp that the change has been active for new customers since April 4.

Customers who have a previously concluded Go subscription, without Unlimited, cannot take advantage of this benefit. The magenta-colored provider informs DroidApp that it is not possible to switch to 5G free of charge within a current subscription. This means that existing customers still have to pay 2.00 euros per month for this. The surcharge only expires when the subscription is extended. This concerns the subscriptions with a data bundle of 1GB, 3GB, 10GB or 20GB.

The plans with 5G are available from T-Mobile. You will also find all current prices there.
