Android Auto 10.0 rolls out with new look for Google Assistant

Google Assistant now looks slightly different on Android Auto. The car platform of Android has received a major update to Android Auto 10.0 and the new look of Google’s smart assistant is the most eye-catching.

Android Auto 10.0

Coolwalk remains the same and there are actually few major changes that come with Android Auto’s tenth major update. So yeah, is it really a big update? In any case, it is number 10. Could it have been the intention to introduce the new electric vehicle options? Perhaps, but they are not yet widely available, writes 9to5Google.

Then let’s look at Google Assistant. You can expect the same ‘glowing’ look within Android Auto as you see on the smartphone. You probably don’t notice that anymore: we’ve had that design since the Pixel 4. Now you see in the car that the assistant, which you can address with ‘Okay, Google!’ or “Hey Google!” is no longer a black bar with a logo on the left. It’s a black bar with no logo. Not very exciting, but with the addition of that glowing design it is a bit different.

Google Assistant

Google Assistant is a very important feature within Android Auto, as it lets you control things without having to take your hands off the wheel, or your eyes off the road. Voice control is extremely important for a car platform as it promotes safety. Of course, you can still set things up while you’re driving (or rather, before you start driving), but it’s even better to use voice control. It’s worth practicing with that if you’re still a bit nervous talking out loud to your car on your own, or trying to figure out how to get exactly what you want done.

Do you use the Google Assistant a lot in the car? For example, for what? Leave it now in the comments.
