Nostalgia didn’t take long. Having a complete history of the popular range of smartphones in hand is a very interesting feeling. Memories of specific devices that we owned at that time come to mind. Although Motorola was not the best-selling brand in the world, it was one of the leaders.

Models from the moto g series have always offered something interesting and tried to differentiate themselves from the competition. An important fact has always been not only the parameters, but also the interesting price. It is precisely these things that have made moto moto famous in the past. The manufacturer is trying to keep this trend even now.

Motorola moto g: From the past to the present

For example, the latest Motorola moto g100 is an example. It is an affordable flagship that offers a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor or a nice 6.7 ″ display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. There is also a strong battery, which guarantees excellent endurance. We are already used to that at Motorola. You can currently get all this for around 400 euros.

The Motorola moto g100 is, of course, part of the special package we received. But let’s look at the other side. There is also the first of the series, moto g. It was introduced in 2013. When we look at its parameters in 2021, maybe we will just smile. However, almost 10 years ago, these parameters were completely common.

At that time, the smartphone offered a large IPS display with a diagonal of 4.5 ″ or a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. The device did not support 4G, there was only RAM available with a capacity of 1 GB. The original operating system was Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the smartphone was later updated to Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Improved parameters, more cameras and higher performance

As time went on, the devices of the Motorola moto g series improved. Performance was increasing, better cameras were coming and also better quality materials. Older operating systems have been replaced by newer ones. Motorola moto g4 already offered a display with a diagonal of 5.5 ″ and FullHD resolution and even fast 15 W charging.

The Moto g5 had a front fingerprint sensor under the display, a 13 MP camera and a 2800 mAh battery. It also came in a Plus version with a larger display. The first model to receive a dual camera was the Motorola moto g6.

Subsequently, we could see new models with the adjective plus, power or play. Each was designed for a different type of customer. Some demanded excellent battery life, while others required better parameters. The moto g6 series impressed with its design and polished colors, while the g7 brought dual cameras and reduced frames around the display.

And so we got to 2021, when the Motorola moto g100 was introduced.
