Huawei’s smartphone business has been doing significantly better. After bad news, there should finally be an important breakthrough in one of the most important cell phones. Another problem cannot be solved, however.

Huawei achieves the breakthrough with the Mate 50

The Chinese manufacturer Huawei is struggling on several fronts. After the US ban comes the group getting worse on important components. In addition, there are general problems with supply chains, which other smartphone manufacturers are also struggling with. At least there should have been a “real breakthrough” for Huawei, as reports from China suggest (source: MyDrivers via GizChina).

What exactly this breakthrough consists of remains open. However, there are many indications that there are some difficulties for the upcoming Huawei Mate 50 could be put aside. Huawei may now have all the components together and can concentrate fully on production. The design of the top smartphone should now also be certain.

However, Huawei is unlikely to be able to solve one of the most important problems in the near future. It is true that the Mate 50 is apparently the fast one Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 898 built in, but due to US sanctions, cell phone customers have to be content with the 4G variant. A 5G model can still not be assumed, which diminishes the chances of success. There are rapprochements between Huawei and the US authorities, but there is still no escape.

Instead of Android, Huawei is now using HarmonyOS. Details can be found in the Video:

Huawei Mate 50: Presentation not in the near future

Huawei actually wanted to oppose its Mate 50 series Present at the end of 2021. However, this is no longer to be expected. Smartphones are likely to hit the market in the first half of 2022, with May or June 2021 being more likely than spring.
