Disney is now also releasing more and more science fiction series. The resounding success of The Mandalorian convinced the cartoon giant to also launch a new science fiction film for their streaming service Disney+: Strange World. What can you expect?
The setting of Strange World
A legendary family of explorers, the Clade family, travels to an unknown planet where they encounter a myriad of surprises and dangers.
Of course, like any Disney film, there is an outsider here too. That’s Searcher Clade, who doesn’t like the adventurous life of an explorer and prefers to live a quiet life as a farmer. Especially the sky-high expectations that the many fans have of his father Jaeger, and which he must therefore fulfill, drive him to slight despair.
Fortunately, he is assisted by his strong-willed wife Meridian and his adventurous son Ethan. All these different characters must work together, because only then can they survive the savage adventures they will experience on the planet Strange World.
Animated film according to the classic Disney theme
In short, the reluctant hero who discovers hidden talents within himself, in a family setting. In that respect, Strange World is again a real Disney classic. The US release is scheduled to coincide with Thanksgiving, a US national holiday. After the two corona years, this will hopefully be the first year in which the cinema season can start undisturbed again.
Because the main characters in this animated film belonged to different generations, everyone can identify with this. That makes it an ideal family film for all ages, although the little ones may find certain scenes too exciting. When will Strange World hit theaters and on Disney+?
It will be some time before this movie comes out. The cinema premiere is November 23. Shortly afterwards, the film will be available on its own Disney+ channel.
