Startup Scone wants to make saving energy a fun challenge

Very cool that we ‘get’ twice 190 euros because the energy bills are skyrocketing, but it remains extremely expensive to use energy and gas and we will really feel that. If it is not yet in 2022, then undoubtedly in 2023. The startup Scone wants to help people to make saving energy a fun challenge, a kind of game, and it does that with an app.

scone

The app is called Scone and uses experts to give advice to users. It measures via all kinds of data sources (including your location and consumption) whether you are on the right track. You can also link with your friends so that you can celebrate your successes. Or just to show that you are doing much better, as we know from, for example, the Fitbit app with its Bingo challenges. Everything to ensure that you reduce your CO2 footprint. The app uses artificial intelligence to ensure that all data is brought together and conclusions can be drawn.

Save energy

The tips Scone gives range from useful measures to take at home and save money, such as installing radiator foil and draft strips. Radiator foil ensures that the heat from the radiator does not escape through the outside wall, but is instead radiated back into the house. This means you don’t have to burn as hard and that saves money. Your personal situation will also be looked at to help you change your behaviour. If you want to take larger actions that are more definitive for your home, the app can inform you about the possibilities.

Scone is available for free on the iOS app store and the Play Store on Android. Knowing more? Read the article on AWSmart.
