Spotify shows lyrics for (most) songs
Spotify lyrics are back! Since today, the streaming service shows the lyrics of the song you are listening to again. The feature is available to any user, so anyone with the free or paid version of Spotify can sing along (or blare) along with the music.

Karaoke time: Spotify lyrics are back
A few years ago, Spotify already showed lyrics (or lyrics) when playing songs, but that function suddenly disappeared. Since then, the streaming giant has regularly been asked whether the lyrics are coming back.
As of today, everyone with a free or paid Spotify account will see the lyrics again. The update is currently rolling out, so you may have to wait a little longer to sing along to ‘Watermelon Sugar’ or ‘Shivers’ on your iPhone or iPad.
Using Spotify Lyrics and Lyrics
Spotify does indicate that not all songs have lyrics. So you just have to wait and see if your favorite songs are included. To view the lyrics in Spotify, follow the steps below.
Use and view lyrics in Spotify on your iPhone
- Launch the Spotify app;
- Choose a song to play and open the overview with the controls;
- At the bottom you see a colored bar, drag this bar up;
- The lyrics appear on the screen.
Available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, consoles and more
In addition to your iPhone, iPad or Mac, Spotify has also made the lyrics (among other things) available to owners of recent consoles, such as the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation 5, the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X. to find the app. With the addition of the lyrics, nothing stands in the way of turning your TV into an (almost real) karaoke machine.
Lyrics in Spotify and Apple Music
Lyrics can be found in both Spotify and Apple Music. Apple is also working hard to bring its services to as many platforms as possible. Previously, the company brought the Apple Music app to the PlayStation and Xbox.
