Spotify now offers audiobooks

In addition to music and podcasts, users of the music service Spotify can now also use the platform for audio books. There is a choice of more than 300,000 audiobooks.

You can go to Spotify not only for music and podcasts. The Swedish music platform now also offers audiobooks. There is a choice of more than 300,000 audiobooks from various publishers, the service reports. At the moment these are not yet exclusive titles. This means that the different audiobooks are also available on other platforms, such as Amazon.

For the time being, it is only possible to purchase the audiobooks at Spotify via the website. After the purchase, it is possible to listen to the purchased audiobook via the Spotify app. The prices of the books differ between the books. There is currently no discount for Spotify Premium members, but Spotify will experiment with different revenue models.

Incidentally, Spotify has only started offering audiobooks in the United States. It is unknown when this will be extended to other countries.
