It is not directly a new smartphone from OnePlus, but there is certainly something to see at the OnePlus stand at the MWC. It’s the OnePlus 11 Concept.

The OnePlus 11 Concept is a special smartphone, because it lights up in a blue color at the back. So there is clearly more going on here than just ‘a new color’ for the OnePlus 11. The OnePlus 11 Concept is a smartphone with a new step in smartphone cooling technology. OnePlus talks about Active CryoFlux. A piezoelectric ceramic micropump, together with the pipes, ensures cooling of the phone.

The somewhat futuristic design of the smartphone does not only provide a stylish display. It also has a functional addition, although our idea is that it is quite minimal. OnePlus indicates that the temperature of a phone can be reduced by 2.1 degrees Celsius while gaming. According to the manufacturer, this increases the frame rate of a game by 3-4 degrees.

Another advantage of this way of cooling is that the temperature also drops by 1.6 degrees during charging. The charging time can also be shortened as a result, resulting in a slightly shorter battery life. This takes 30-45 seconds less.

At the stand, OnePlus indicates that it should also be possible to light up the liquid for notifications and calls. That is not yet possible in this concept model. Partly because the actual cooling is not used for this demo device, but a combination of water, oil and blue dye is used to show the demo.

OnePlus emphasizes that it is currently a concept. This means that the 11 will not be released in this form. There is a chance that OnePlus will release the technology in the future. In terms of possibilities and specifications, this Concept is no different from the OnePlus 11 that we already know.
