Sound Burger vinyl pick-up player is back

The iconic Sound Burger, which allows you to play vinyl records larger than the device itself, has returned to production.

More and more demand for the Sound Burger

As a music lover you will not have missed it; vinyl is back in style. And with the return of the long-playing record and the singles, new and old trendy record players are also coming onto the market. One of the most iconic models is the Sound Burger, which indeed looks a bit like a hamburger. But then with a vinyl record as toppings. Many vinyl enthusiasts eagerly await the return of this model. You can see this in hefty prices such as € 500, which are paid for this iconic device on eBay. And finally manufacturer Audio-Technica has listened.

Appearance of the past with the technology of today

While the retro look is still the same as that of the iconic Sound Burger from the 1980s, this new version is equipped with a number of electronic gadgets that music lovers in the 1980s could only dream of. For example, the device is equipped with powerful lithium-ion batteries. So you don’t have to plug in three clumsy and terribly expensive C-cell batteries to enjoy 12 hours of a genuine retro experience before you have to recharge. If nostalgia is defined as the experience of the past with today’s technology, then this is the ultimate nostalgic gadget.

Unlike the illustrious predecessor, this model is not equipped with headphones. An RCA cable is included, with which you can connect the pickup to your sound system. And a spare needle.

Just like the predecessor, this copy can play 33 1/2 and 45 RPM records. This means that you can play both LPs and singles. Unfortunately, the possibility to play 78 RPM is missing. The 2022 Sound Burger was available for € 230, but is already sold out.
