Soon you will be able to share your Google Calendar events much more easily
Google Calendar has been getting useful additions like the Google Chat focus time lately, but sharing an appointment in the calendar app isn’t that easy yet. Fortunately, that will soon change.
Share events in Google Calendar
Just sharing one event via a link is not possible in Google Calendar. Quite strange for such an extensive calendar app where you can share your entire Google Calendar with family or friends, for example. @AssembleDebug late in the tweet below see that Google is now working on a share button for an event. That immediately saves you the hassle of editing an appointment and then having to manually add someone’s email address to it.

As soon as the share button is available for calendar appointments, you will see a striking share button under the name and date of the appointment. When you tap it, it opens the standard Android sharing menu you’ll find when sharing other files, such as images and documents. Here you can select the app of your choice, for example WhatsApp, Discord or Telegram, and send a link to a contact via that app. That person can then indicate their availability using three preset buttons: Yes, No and Maybe.
The only way you can now share an individual event in Google Calendar is one that includes a Google Meet link. Next to “Join with Google Meet” is a share button that opens the share menu. The share button as seen in the tweet, on the other hand, is much more convenient. Unfortunately, that button is not yet visible in the editors. Google has not yet announced anything about this button. So it may take a while. Do you already see the share button with the appointments? Let us know in the comments.
