So right? ’15-inch MacBook Air will appear in the spring’

Do you remember? About six months ago we heard rumors about a 15-inch version of the MacBook Air. After that it remained quiet, but now that Air seems to be coming soon. You must know this.

MacBook Air 15-inch appears soon

In the summer of 2022, Apple pleased us with a new version of the MacBook Air. It had a new design, a larger screen and a faster processor. The price was a bit on the high side at the beginning, but it is now for sale at most webshops for a good price (see also the price comparison below). If you’re looking for ‘just a MacBook’, this is the one you need. Unless you want a large screen – but that may change soon.

Same design as 13-inch

According to the new rumor, not much will change on the screen with the larger version. It will be a keyboard without the Touch Bar, the same trackpad with Force Touch, improved speakers, 1080p webcam and a MagSafe for charging.

What should we (still?) miss? A mini-LED screen, because that remains exclusive to the Pro models for the time being. In terms of processor, we use the M2 chip that we already know from the MacBook Air 13-inch, but we secretly have a little hope for an M2 Pro. We already expect this for the MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch. The three laptops will probably be presented simultaneously in the spring of 2023.

Choice is huge

As far as we’re concerned, we like a MacBook Air with a larger screen anyway. If you want a MacBook with a big screen these days, you have to get the largest and most expensive MacBook Pro anyway. By offering a cheaper MacBook Air with a larger screen, there is more choice for us!

Moreover, Apple would use the same strategy as with the MacBook Pro, which is also available in two different sizes. Or even three, if you still count the old version.
