Small changes can cost iPhone users a lot of data

Apple will soon be launching its new iPhone operating system with iOS 15. A small change was noticed in the latest test version, which many users have wished for, but which could also severely affect the mobile data volume – at least in the current version.

iOS 15 allows iCloud backup via mobile data connection

A lot has been known about iOS 15 in the last few weeks. With each new beta version, many testers discover small and large changes that Apple did not present directly. This is exactly how it looks with an extension of the backup in iCloud. Until now it was only possible to back up via WLAN, in iOS 15 the option will be expanded. In the new version you can also use a Perform a backup in iCloud using the mobile data connection (Source: Caschy).

This is of course useful for all users who have a contract in which a lot of data is available. But if you can only use a few GB per month with your iPhone, you have to be a little more careful. The piquant thing about the current situation: In the current beta version of iOS 15, this option is automatically switched on. So if you are already using the previous version of the operating system but do not have a high volume of data, you should use the Deactivate option in settings. There is of course still the option of performing a backup via the WLAN. It is currently unclear whether the new function will also be activated automatically during the final update.

iOS 15: Final version expected in September

IOS 15 is currently still in the final stages of completion before it will officially be launched together with the iPhone 13 in September. It is quite possible that by then even more functions will be introducedwho have been missing so far.
