Slovenská pošta: You will no longer pay customs duties for packages from China, there is a new agreement in the world
Good news for those who like to order from Chinese e-shops. We will no longer pay customs for orders in Slovakia.
The live.aktuality.sk portal has now informed that there is an agreement in the world, specifically between the Czech Post and the Aliexpress and Wish e-shops. It sends the customer a flat-taxed product and the recipient no longer has to pay any customs procedure fee.
No customs duties on orders from China
Slovenská pošta has signed an agreement with the Czech Post so that Slovak clients can shop from these e-shops faster, more conveniently and cheaper. The head of the communication and marketing department of Slovenská pošta, Jana Lukáčová, commented for živ.sk.sk as follows:
“Shipments that will arrive in Slovakia on the basis of this agreement will go directly to the addressees. Slovenská pošta will thus reduce the number of consignments that would require handling at the customs declaration department. “
As a result, clients will be able to order goods from these popular online stores again without additional fees, and at the same time they will not wait for that long. Large Chinese e-shops also tend to solve this problem by storing the goods in European warehouses. Warehouses are, for example, in Spain, Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. The order from the European warehouse usually arrives within one week, of course without the need to pay customs duties and VAT.
According to Slovenská pošta, up to 90 percent of shipments that are ordered from Asian countries to Slovakia come from these two e-shops, with which it has now agreed.
