There are still many people who, despite the constant bombing from all sides, will run into such a clear deception. They comment and share without verifying that the page is true. And yet it is not so difficult at all.

The site is fake at first glance

Despite several comments explaining that this is a scam, people continue to comment and share it. At the first glance at the page, it is clear that it is fake. One of the basic features of fake sites is that they were created only recently.

There is no information, competition status or contact on the site. After clicking on the link “zahradysnov.sk, the company’s website will not be displayed. And most importantly… Sharing statuses as a condition of competition on Facebook is against the rules of the social network. It’s forbidden. And maybe you don’t think that some unknown company will just give you a new pool, in some cases even a car.

Scammers can have multiple goals. For example, they may want to get as many followers as possible to resell the page, which is then renamed. However, in the case of this particular fraud, it can be more dangerous.

The site gradually contacts the “contest participants” who commented on the entry and said that they had won. On this basis, it seeks to attract various advances from them in the form of lower amounts. This is exactly how fraudsters want to make money. The victim, believing that she won a pool worth several thousand euros, is sacrificing a few euros and the fraud is complete.
