Our tips and notes on using the Sharp UA-PE30E-WB

placement

The air purifier should not be placed too close to furniture, but as centrally as possible in the room so that the air inlet is not blocked. Objects that produce moisture should not be in the immediate vicinity of the device, nor should objects that produce heat, such as stoves or heaters. When the device is in operation, it should also not be moved.

cleaning

The housing should only be cleaned with a dry, soft cloth. Cleaning agents can damage the plastic housing, just as volatile liquids can generally get into the interior of the device and thus pose a safety risk. After prolonged use, the dust on the rear cover can be carefully vacuumed away with a suitable vacuum cleaner brush. A suitable brush should also be used when cleaning the filter in order not to damage the filter. In addition, only the side on which there is a label or label on the upper side should be cleaned. Under no circumstances may the HEPA filter be washed and then reused, as otherwise safety-endangering malfunctions may occur.

Filter change

After around 2 years of regular use, the filter needs to be changed, which is indicated by the corresponding light on the control panel. The filter can be changed by removing the rear cover while the device is disconnected from the power supply. The upper tabs of the cover are pressed down, the cover removed, the filter replaced and the cover reinserted. Then reconnect the device to the power supply and hold the filter replacement button for three seconds after switching it on.

After the signal light has gone out, the air purifier is ready for use again. If the air purifier loses performance or unpleasant smells spread during use, the filter should also be checked. Often, excessive contamination of the filter is the cause of such problems.
