It was so easy to pass your codes to a loved one that the case arranged a lot of them… until the American platform got angry and reacted by soon making the thing pay. The idea for Diivii came from brothers Tom and Anthony Chemaly during the first lockdown as the first explains to our colleagues from Actu.fr :
In March 2020, we were confined to the same place with my brother and we were going around in circles. We were done with Netflix and we couldn’t afford to subscribe to many different platforms either. This is where the desire to create Diivii was born. At the beginning, it started with a joke and by dint of doing it, we started.
Launched in June 2022, the platform offers more than 150 different offers and, for each, subscribers offer, for a sum lower than the price of the subscription, to share their accounts. The range of possibilities is very wide, covering streaming services, video games, music, news and more. We also find Spotify, Deezer, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Molotov, OCS, Xbox Game Pass, but also Le Monde, L’Équipe, etc.
Save €340 per year?
Everything is secure, the co-subscriber paying at the beginning of the month, while the owner of the subscription receives the sum at the end if everything has gone perfectly. Diivii is remunerated by taking 25% deducted from the first payment
received from a co-subscriber to an account owner (+20 cents and 5% of each payment per month and per subscription). In the end, Diivii promises to save an average of €340 per year.
Today, Diivii claims nearly 50,000 co-subscribers, which is more than double the best forecast of its creators. It must be said that the time is for the economy and that the platform makes it possible to make beautiful ones.
