Shadows over Silesia launches a campaign on Hithit -apkrig

The Czech game 1428: Shadows over Silesia is nothing new for Vortex readers and viewers. We addressed it repeatedly in the news, interviewed its author and even showed the title in action. Now Petr Kubíček is returning not only with new information, video and screenshots, but he has also launched a crowdfunding campaign on Hithit, through which it will be possible to gain preliminary access to the game.

Medieval action adventure with fantasy elements attracts exploration, challenging puzzles, sneaking in the shadows, difficult fights and big battles. It boasts stylized isometric graphics that can evoke action RPGs like Diablo, but the gameplay is different. We will not only move around the world on our own, but also on horseback, and we will visit real and fictional places in Silesia. Thanks to the cooperation with the group Fénix ProDabing, the characters in the game will speak not only English, as originally intended, but also Czech. You can listen to samples of dubbing thanks to a new video from the Hithit campaign.

The title offers two playable characters. Annoying Hussite governor Hynek and St. John’s knight Lothar. “Everyone has their own motivations and views of the world around them, different equipment and abilities. Their destinies will soon be intertwined, ”describes Petr Kubíček. “Will they encounter a weapon in hand, or will they form a fragile alliance to face a much worse enemy?” asks players a rhetorical question.

According to the author, the project is about halfway through development. At the same time, the originally planned content has already really swelled. 1428: Shadows over Silesia will be a third larger than Petr Kubíček initially intended. “The game will be divided into thirteen chapters, over which you will spend 20 to 30 hours of pure time,” he explained. From the beginning, he financed everything only from his own savings and devoted himself to her in his free time. But now he needs to get the whole project to a successful end.

He lacks independence and time to devote himself 100% to development. And so he launched a crowdfunding campaign on Hithit. Its goal is to collect the rest of the amount needed to complete the title. “You get a unique opportunity not only to buy the game in advance and thus support the author, but also to get exclusive preliminary access to the demo, alpha and beta version of the game,” the campaign attracts. In addition, it is possible to influence the final form of the game based on the feedback that Petr is looking forward to.

Petr Kubíček is asking for 500,000 crowns, and immediately after the launch of the campaign, the first supporters began to appear. You can contribute from 200 crowns up to 5990 crowns. From less than five hundred, you are already entitled to a full game for PC, and then there is a gradual increase in access to various versions, a soundtrack, a T-shirt, a badge, a limited edition or even a meeting with the author of the game.

The main part of the project is created by a single developer. However, Petr Kubíček is helped by other external experts. The game has been in development for two and a half years and so far only targets Windows. However, the author is also considering other platforms, but their possible support also depends on the success of the PC version. Technically, however, nothing prevents it. The title is powered by the Unity engine and will support gamepads.

1428: Shadows over Silesia come out next year. See the Hithit campaign, the official website or Steam for more details. If you’re interested in how the game looks right in action, check out our older gameplay.
