Realme is on the rise in the mid-range, both in China and India. Created by Oppo with the aim of countering Redmi, it now has a range that ranges from entry-level to mid-range. Its “flagship” is the excellent Realme GT that we tested in the spring. Crazy processor. Very fast, fast charging. A very nice design. And a great price. Here is a “flagship killer” as we like them.

Following this enthusiasm, Realme declined the GT. the GT Neo in March 2021. The GT Neo Flash in May 2021. In July 2021, the GT Master Edition, of which we published the test yesterday on the occasion of its official launch in Europe. the GT Explorer Edition also in July. And the GT Neo 2 should follow very soon. A very complete leak on the smartphone from leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, alias OnLeaks, confirmed this last week.

Realme officially confirms the upcoming arrival of the GT Neo 2

A week later, Realme decided to at least confirm the existence of the smartphone. The brand therefore formalizes the imminent arrival of the Realme GT Neo 2 in a message posted on Weibo. She explains that the GT Neo has been very successful (more than a million units sold worldwide). It is therefore time to offer him a successor. The launch date, however, has not been announced.

According to the OneLeaks leak, the Realme GT Neo 2 should be very interesting. It would be equipped with a larger screen (6.62 inch), a more powerful SoC (Snapdragon 870) and a larger battery (5000 mAh). On the other hand, it should keep the photo equipment of the Realme GT Neo and the Realme GT, with a main sensor of 64 megapixels (capturing by default in 16 megapixels).

It is not certain that this Realme GT Neo 2 arrives in France. Of the five models made official so far, only two are marketed in Europe. The original GT and the GT Master Edition. And that’s a shame, because the Realme GT Neo was a natural competitor to the OnePlus Nord 2: same screen, same SoC, same battery and fairly similar camera equipment.
