Samsung smartphones get this new form of security

Samsung MessageGuard
Samsung has announced in a press release that it is coming up with a new security solution. The new protection – called Samsung Message Guard – should protect you against Zero-click exploits. These are cyber attacks hidden in an image. A malicious person can gain access to all your photos, messages and information by means of a malicious code – which the person hides in the image. The malicious person only needs to send you the image and without you realizing it, he can provide access to your smartphone.
How does it work?
Samsung Message Guard should protect your smartphone preventively, which significantly reduces the chance of this invisible threat, according to the manufacturer. Samsung itself describes Samsung Message Guard as “virtual quarantine environment where image files are isolated from the rest of the phone”. This means that any malicious code in an image can never access your personal data. In this quarantine environment, Samsung’s new security checks the images. This therefore takes place in a controlled and separate environment. It should all happen automatically and it does not need to be activated.
