Google working on new Material You-style Clock and Chrome widget

We talked about the new Google Maps widget earlier, but there are even more improvements for Android. We see images of two other new Material You widgets that will be rolled out for Google apps. It is a Clock widget and a Chrome widget.

New widgets from Google

More and more Material You is coming to Android. This means that the necessary updates will appear for Google apps. Not only are there changes to the applications themselves, Google has also paid attention to the various widgets that belong to the apps. We updated you on Friday about the new Google Maps widget. Two other Google apps will also get new widgets, Google Clock and browser Google Chrome.

The new widget of the Google Clock app lets you directly use the stopwatch, as can be seen in the photo above. For example, you can stop, pause and reactivate the timer via the widget. With Chrome you have a similar widget as with Google Chrome. The widget allows you to directly enter a URL, start a search, or use a shortcut. Think of opening an incognito window or executing a voice command, or scanning a (QR) code. The new widget can be seen in the photo below. You can also opt for a new widget that gives you direct access to your bookmarks.

The new widget for Google Clock is spreading slowly, but is not yet available to everyone. The Google Chrome widget is also not yet available. First up is the Google Chrome Beta for Android.
