Samsung has made a new update available for several devices. This is an update for various smartphones and a number of tablets. In addition, Nokia has prepared a new update for the Nokia G20.

Updates at Samsung

The last days of December are still used by some manufacturers to distribute a new update. We see that at Samsung. Two smartphones are being updated at the South Korean manufacturer, and we also see an update rolling in on five tablets. To start with, the update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Earlier this month, the two devices were already provided with the December security update. Yet another update to the device is being rolled out at the end of the new year. No major changes, but the addition of the new Maintenance Mode. Furthermore, Samsung has made some improvements and bug fixes with the update, about which Fijke informs us.

A new update is also rolling out to some tablets. This concerns the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, the Tab S7+ and the tablets from the Tab S8 series. These are the ‘normal’, the Plus and the Ultra. Erik informs us that his tablet has received the December security update. The update pushes a large number of patches in the Android system. On top of this, Samsung itself has also added its own patches.

Nokia G20

Then there is also news from Nokia. Han informs us that his smartphone, the Nokia G20, has received the December security update. The update of just under 29 MB does not contain any new functions or changes, but it does contain a new security patch.
