Samsung Pay no longer works on non-Samsung smartphones
The Samsung Pay payment service works on smartphones of different brands and not only on Galaxy. Or at least worked. Indeed, a change has recently taken place and only the Galaxy can benefit from it.
Those who try to use Samsung Pay on smartphones from other brands are now treated to an error message, like “ID is not valid” when logging in according to testimonials on Reddit and Samsung Forums.
In response to inquiries, Samsung customer service advised that Samsung Pay no longer works on devices from other brands. But it is possible that it is actually a bug. Indeed, it would be surprising if Samsung decided to suddenly restrict its service on its Galaxy smartphones without warning.
The blockage could be the result of the recent launch of Samsung Wallet, a comprehensive digital wallet app that allows users with a Galaxy device to access Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass functions in one place. Unlike Samsung Pay, the Samsung Wallet app is exclusive to Galaxy smartphones.
By the way, it is interesting to note that even if the affected users are no longer able to log in to Samsung Pay, they can still log in to their Samsung accounts using the same login.
