This is a figure for the first quarter of this year.
Samsung was allegedly helped mainly by contracts for equipping the Audi E-Tron, Fiat 500e and Ford Kuga. Its share is 10.1%. In the ranking of the most important producers battery cells was said to be LG Energy with a 35.5% stake. So another Korean company, which coincidentally recently stopped the production of mobile phones. However, thanks to the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Volkswagen ID.3 and Volkswagen ID.4, it jumped by 7%.
The second was Panasonic in the first three months of 2021. This includes a 27.8% market share. Samsung has big plans and as the third largest battery manufacturer it may not stay long. He intends to build a factory in the USA and bid for a contract to supply articles for Tesla cars.
