Samsung is blurry about the Galaxy S21 FE
There’s something weird going on with the Galaxy S21 FE and Samsung just makes the whole confusion worse.
Samsung is reportedly struggling to continue producing the Galaxy S21 FE and is then very fuzzy about it. An already deleted publication from ET News shows that the S21 FE has been discontinued (via AndroidAuthority). It is not known why the article has been removed. In the meantime, Samsung has provided an explanation, but they might as well have said nothing about that.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Fan Edition would be the brand’s latest smartphone. The device has not yet been announced, but Samsung does not deny its existence. Since the S20 series, the South Koreans have come up with a spin-off of the flagship series with some tweaks. The tweaks would be in line with what fans expect from the smartphone.
But it looks like Samsung is struggling to produce the Galaxy S21 FE. The global chip shortage would be the culprit. However, the brand does not seem to want to confirm that things are indeed going wrong with the production of the smartphone. To Bloomberg, the brand makes a hazy statement:
While we can’t share details about an unreleased product, no decision has been made regarding the claimed production shutdown.
No decision has been made about the alleged production stop… So has Samsung decided that the Galaxy S21 FE will no longer be produced, or is the device just in production? Wouldn’t you just say the latter if that was the case?
Meanwhile, several well-known goodies share their knowledge about the device. According to IceUniverse, something unexpected happened during the production process. That can’t mean much good. Roland Quandt claims that the device in question has not even gone into production yet. That would explain Samsung’s blurry answer.
