Samsung gives Galaxy Tab S9 a major update
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series comes, if we are to believe the rumors, with some smaller upgrades. The ‘regular’ Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, on the other hand, will receive a considerable upgrade, according to a new rumor.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 gets OLED screen
Ross Young, the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) is often aware of the contacts between phone brands and screen manufacturers. He thinks he knows that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 will have an AMOLED screen instead of the LCD variant that the Galaxy Tab S8 has. That screen should then drastically improve the brightness and sharpness of content compared to the 11-inch LCD screen of the Galaxy Tab S8. According to Young, this OLED screen should also boost the market for OLED tablets.

Samsung’s upcoming Tab S9 Ultra has already been leaked. The Android tablet would get a 14.6-inch WQXGA+ panel with a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels. In addition, the tablet should get an 11,200 mAh battery that can be charged with a power of 45W. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset must power the tablet together with 16 GB of RAM.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 launch
Unfortunately, Young has no information about the launch of the Tab S9 series at the moment. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 line was announced in February of 2022. Samsung is said to have postponed the launch of the Galaxy Tab S9 series for this year. Hopefully we’ll get to see the tablets in August, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Watch 6.
