Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro Max: both models compared (adv)

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and the iPhone 14 Pro Max are the latest and most expensive flagship models from phone giants Samsung and Apple. Both manufacturers have made every effort to provide their top models with the best specifications. But what features do both smartphones actually have? In this article we compare the Samsung S22 Ultra and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Better display for the Galaxy S22 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 6.8-inch Amoled display and the Apple iPhone Pro Max has a 6.7 OLED display. The screen looks slightly better on the S22 Ultra than on its counterpart. An Amoled screen generally has a somewhat higher quality than an OLED screen. With 2000 nits, the 14 Pro Max does have a brighter screen compared to the 1800 nits of the S22 Ultra. Apple even calls the flagship’s screen ‘the brightest screen ever’

Dynamic Island

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is finally rid of the infamous notch, much to the delight of many iPhone users. The new notch is still larger than the ‘small circle’ of the selfie camera on the Ultra, but it is functional. It has become a so-called Dynamic Island with all kinds of functions.

For example, you can look up information with it or use it to listen to music. You will also receive warnings and notifications. In short, it is a nice extra feature that you can use a lot.

Camera with 108-megapixel on the S22 Ultra

In terms of cameras, both models are not much inferior to each other. The Samsung S22 Ultra may boast a main camera with no less than 108 megapixels, but in practice you don’t really take much better photos with this than with the 48 megapixels of the main camera on the iPhone 14. The other cameras look 10 to 12 megapixels look almost the same. The number of cameras is also the same.

Galaxy S22 Ultra: faster loading and launching of apps

With both models you can choose a storage capacity of 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB. The S22 Ultra does have more RAM than its counterpart, namely 8 GB, compared to 6 GB with the iPhone.

Choose the device that suits you best

Have you been a fan of Samsung or Apple for years, or are you still hesitating between the two models? In the latter case, it is wise to compare the specifications of both models. This may make it easier to find which device suits you best. Don’t want to spend too much for your phone? Then it is useful to opt for a SIM-only subscription. You then only pay for the number of Mb’s and calling minutes that you have chosen yourself and therefore never exceed your bundle. And that means no extra costs.
