Samsung Galaxy S22 series: big leak reveals everything
A major leak about the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is official. The smartphones will be announced on February 9, but we are already getting a lot of details before the release.
Major Leak: Galaxy S22
On February 9, the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra is planned. This date was confirmed by the manufacturer on Wednesday. Thanks to the German colleagues from Winfuture, we learn a lot about smartphones. Although a lot of information was already known, we list the details for you below.
Galaxy S22
The Samsung Galaxy S22 will have a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz. There is an Exynos 2200 chipset for the European market, 8GB of RAM and a 3700 mAh battery. The device has a size of 146.0 x 70.6 x 7.6 millimeters. The weight is 167 grams.
The camera of the Samsung Galaxy S22 consists of a 50 megapixel main lens (f/1.8, OIS), 12MP wide angle (f/2.2) and a 10 megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom. On the front, the phone has a 10 megapixel front camera.
Galaxy S22+
The Samsung Galaxy S22+ is the middle model in the series. It will have a 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with the same resolution and refresh rate. Most other specifications are the same, such as the processor and working memory. Samsung gives the phone the dimensions 157.4 x 75.8 x 7.64 millimeters and a weight of 195 grams. The camera setup is similar to that of the Galaxy S22. The battery capacity is 4500 mAh.
Galaxy S22 Ultra
The most comprehensive of the three is the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. This device has room for the S Pen and has a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3080 x 1440 pixels. There is a 108 megapixel main lens (f/1.8, OIS), a 12MP wide-angle lens and twice a 10MP telephoto lens. One of these is a periscope lens with optical image stabilization. On the front, the phone gets a 40MP front camera. The battery is a 5000 mAh battery. We also measure 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 millimeters and a weight of 227 grams.

The announcement is scheduled for February 9. From February 25, the new smartphones from the S22 series should be available in the Netherlands.
