Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy Note 20 get December update

The December security update had to wait a while for a number of Samsung devices, but now there is good news for various models. A new update is ready for the Galaxy S20 series, the Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy Note 20 series.

Samsung has made the latest December security patch available for some models from the Galaxy series. Normally, the aforementioned devices are ready for the new patch earlier in the month, but that took a little longer now. A reason is not shared by Samsung, but at least we can now inform you that Samsung has started rolling out the December 2021 security update for various smartphones.

Richard and Marianne report the December update for the Galaxy S20 FE, with the 5G version being the first to receive the update. The update for that device has a size of 245.82MB and does not bring any further changes. The December update is also ready for the other models from the S20 series; the Galaxy S20, S20+ and the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Furthermore, Samsung has started distributing the same update for the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in the Netherlands and Belgium.

If the update is available for your device, you will receive a notification on your phone. It is now waiting for Samsung to make the update to Android 12 available for the devices. For the S21 series, it has been available for download for a while.
