“Samsung Galaxy S20 FE will be updated to Android 11 this year”

The Egyptian branch of Samsung previously announced when which devices will be updated to Android 11. This finally gives us a clear overview of Samsung’s update policy. Unfortunately, one device was missing on this Android 11 schedule: not a word was said about the popular Samsung Galaxy S20 FE.

Fortunately there is the tasty Max Weinbach. In a tweet, Weinbach shares two possible dates for the launch of Android 11 and One UI 3.0 on the Galaxy S20 FE. In the tweet, de Lekker talks about December 14 and 27. The Note 20 will also receive the update on one of these days.

Samsung itself is quite vague about update details outside of the S20, S20 Plus and S20 Ultra. The company indicates that all other devices, such as the Note 10 and S10, will receive the update in the coming weeks. “In the coming weeks” is a broad term for this reporting and in some cases can vary between two weeks and two months.

New in Android 11

It now looks like owners of the Galaxy S20 FE will receive the Android 11 update before the end of 2020.
