Samsung comes with a surprising Galaxy S20 FE 2022 edition

Samsung has announced a 2022 edition of the Galaxy S20 FE. The device that was announced in 2020 is now being released in a new jacket. What exactly has changed with the new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 2022?

It is a mouth full, the name of the new device from Samsung, but it concerns the 2022 edition of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. We were very enthusiastic about this device in our Galaxy S20 FE review. About 1.5 years after the appearance of that model, it is now time for the Galaxy S20 FE 2022. This model will be available (first) in South Korea, the manufacturer’s home port.

The smartphone will have a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor and a triple camera. This consists of a 12-megapixel main lens, a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. Together with a 4500 mAh battery with 15W charging, this completes the list of specifications. What strikes? These are exactly the same technical features as those of the Galaxy S20 FE that was released at the end of 2020. So what exactly has changed?

Actually nothing at all. Except that Samsung no longer supplies the AKG headset with this model. This was not supplied in the Netherlands by the way. In addition, Samsung has reduced the price of the device, with the suggested retail price converted to about 530 euros. Based on information previously announced by Samsung, it is clear that this device will receive five years of updates, and that is very neat. It is currently unknown whether Samsung will release the Galaxy S20 FE 2022 in the Netherlands. It is also not unworldly that a manufacturer uses an old model name with a new year behind it. A few years ago, Huawei came up with a remarkable smartphone; the 2017 Huawei P8 Lite.
