Amazfit T-Rex 2 is for outdoor enthusiasts
The T-Rex 2 is a so-called robust smartwatch that, according to Amazfit, is particularly suitable for the adventurous and sporty users who love nothing more than to spend their time outdoors, regardless of the weather conditions and environment they are in. This makes this Amazfit watch compete with the Polar Grit X Pro and the Garmin Instinct 2 and Garmin Fenix 7 series.
In order to continue functioning in extreme conditions, the T-Rex 2 can withstand temperatures of -30°C and -40°C. On the other hand, the T-Rex 2 is resistant to heat up to +70°C.
Outdoor enthusiasts such as hikers, trail runners and surfers can take advantage of additional sport modes and navigation functions with the T-Rex 2. There are more than 150 sport modes, including triathlon, fishing, golf and surfing. The latter is possible thanks to the water resistance of 10 ATM. In addition, the options for health monitoring have also been expanded.
Amazfit’s T-Rex 2 also monitors health. Amazfit has developed the so-called 6PD (six photodiodes) BioTracker for this. This allows for fast and effective retrieval of important data such as simultaneous monitoring of heart rate, blood oxygen and stress levels. With one tap, users can gain insight into their heart rate, stress level, breathing and oxygen saturation in the blood in just 45 seconds.
The watch comes with route navigation, real-time navigation and tracking functions, and can also determine the shortest way back to where the user started. The new route import feature allows users to import pre-selected routes and follow them by using the watch. For better GPS determination, the Amazfit T-Rex 2 comes with dual-band positioning and support for five navigation systems.
Screen and battery
The T-Rex 2 has an always-on 1.39-inch HD AMOLED screen whose resolution has been increased to 454 x 454 pixels compared to its predecessor. The 500 mAh battery should, in certain circumstances, last up to 24 days on a single charge.
