Rhinokey, no more broken pockets

With this small, handy gadget you tame the jungle of keys on your bunch of keys. Is the Kickstarter project Rhinokey the savior of your pocket?

What is the Rhinokey?

The Rhinokey (€99) is perhaps most similar to a kind of Swiss army knife. With the difference that instead of knives, saws and other handy accessories, it contains keys. Your keys. You can store up to 10 different keys in the Rhinokey. Besides not having to walk around all day with a porcupine in your pocket, it also becomes a lot easier to get hold of a certain key.

What features are built into the Rhinokey?

The makers of the Rhinokey have clearly thought carefully about what you need when using a key. For example, an LED light has been built in, with which you can easily find a keyhole in the pitch dark. A very useful function is the mutual track function. Have you lost your bunch of keys? Then you can make the Rhinokey beep via the supplied app.

But it also works the other way around. Because if you press the Rhinokey, your phone will noisily indicate where it is. And that’s not all. If you accidentally leave your bunch of keys somewhere, you will receive a signal from your phone. And, oh yes, the Rhinokey also looks a lot like a Swiss army knife. For example, you can open beer bottles with it, tighten screws and have to open and close it. And, inevitably, using it as a selfie button. Charging is done with a micro USB connection.

How do I get my hands on this gorgeous gadget?

At the moment, November 2022, the Rhinokey is in the Kickstarter stage. The makers expect to be able to start delivery in the first quarter of 2023. If you order early, you can also get a 30% discount on the rather hefty price of this gadget. More information can be found on the project’s Kickstarter page.
