Apple does not yet have its own currency, but with iTunes and App Store vouchers you can still buy almost anything from the iPhone manufacturer – apps, films, games and more. The vouchers are currently available from Rewe with extra credit.

15 percent free: gift card for App Store & iTunes at Rewe with added value

From February 1 to 6, 2021, Rewe will be giving its customers 15 percent extra credit when purchasing a voucher card for Apple’s App Store and the iTunes download store. The additional credit is not only available in the store, but also online. On a website you can choose voucher cards with different values and then automatically get 15 percent more credited.

However, the promotion does not apply to all card values: The bonus balance is available for cards with a value of 25, 50 and 100 euros. If you redeem a voucher for 100 euros, you will receive a credit of 115 euros on your app store and iTunes account. However, you can’t get more out of it in one go: Anyone who tries to purchase EUR 200 credit directly on the Rewe website will not receive any bonus credit. The cards for 10 and 15 euro credit are also not part of the current promotion, writes Rewe on its website.

You can find out in the video which apps you can buy for the extra credit:

Code by email – with one caveat

After purchasing, customers will receive the relevant code by email. Via a link contained therein or by copying the code and pasting it in the “Redeem” area of the account settings, for example in Apple’s music app or the App Store, you can finally get credit.

The credit can then be used for almost everything that Apple offers in its digital download stores. But there is one small exception. The small print on iTunes and App Store voucher cards has been saying for years: “Cannot be used for German-language eBooks.” The vouchers are therefore only partially suitable for bookworms.
