Redmi Smart Band Pro seen in all its glory in images

The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi will soon release the Redmi Smart Band Pro through its subsidiary. We can already see the fitness tracker on images.

The Redmi Smart Band Pro is rumored to be announced along with the Redmi Watch 2 on October 28. Presumably, the Smart Band Pro is Xiaomi’s answer to the Huawei Watch Fit, a cheap fitness tracker with a number of smartwatch features. The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite will also be a competitor in this case.

Unfortunately, we can’t say anything about the prices and technical features of the Redmi Smart Band Pro yet. All we have our hands on right now are these official press images showing an elongated screen. This will make the Redmi Smart Band Pro a lot bigger than the Xiaomi Mi Band 6, but the screen will also have more space to display data. The Band Pro’s software interface is very similar to that of Xiaomi’s Mi Band 6. It is probably the same software, so switching from one device to another will not cause too many problems.

The photos also tell us that for the new wearable, Xiaomi relies on a plastic body with a flat frame, visually reminiscent of devices such as the latest Mi Watch smartwatches. The wristbands could be easily swapped out, and the dedicated USB charging cable plugs into two pins on the device itself. Other information such as price and availability is not yet known.
