Realme’s ‘first ever flagship’ with eco-friendly design is coming
The CEO of Realme has Today announced the date on which the Realme GT 2 Series will be announced. This series would contain two phones, the ‘regular’ GT 2 and the GT 2 Pro. The latter will be their “first true flagship ever,” according to Realme. This phone is rumored to come with a number of special features.
Eco-friendly design
According to realme the rear of the GT 2 Pro will be made of environmentally friendly materials. This material should be based on paper and is appropriately named ‘Paper Tech Master Design’ by the company. For this design, the company collaborated with the designer Naoto Fukasawa. Realme previously collaborated with him on the design of the Realme GT Master Edition. This Realme GT Master Edition had a vegan leather back, and was inspired by a travel suitcase. According to Naoto Fukasawa, when you think of this design you automatically think of “all the journeys you’ve ever made.” In addition, you also received the signature of the Japanese designer on the back of the device and so you could already paste it in your scrapbook. packaging of the Realme GT 2 Pro should also be ‘eco-friendly’.
Wide angle of view
Another feature of the Realme GT 2 Pro is that the device will get a wide-angle camera with an angle of view of 150 degrees. For comparison, Samsung’s Galaxy S21 series devices have a wide-angle camera with an angle of 120 degrees. This means that with the wide-angle camera of the Realme GT 2 Pro you can get an even wider view in the photo.
Possible specifications
The ‘regular’ GT 2 is rumored to have a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This phone should run on the Snapdragon 888 chip, Qualcomm’s high-end chip this year. The Realme GT 2 Pro should have a 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED panel. Furthermore, the device will probably have three cameras. A 50MP main camera, a 50MP wide-angle camera and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. In addition, this device will be one of the first devices with the latest chipset from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The environmentally friendly design and the 150-degree viewing angle of the wide-angle camera are only available for the Realme GT 2 Pro. It is not entirely clear what the situation is with previous renders of the Realme GT 2 Pro. In these images we see a completely different ‘Nexus 6P like design’ and this does not match the new announcements and the tweet from Realme above. We’ll keep an eye on it for you!
