Production of the improved Switch is scheduled to begin in July -apkrig

No one seems to doubt that Nintendo is preparing an improved version of the Switch. There has been so much speculation in recent months and years that it is only a matter of time before the Japanese company announces the supposed “Switch Pro”, but it still does not happen and the only thing we can turn to is again and only speculation. However, the latest ones are brought by the trusted Bloomberg agency, which allegedly obtained information from Samsung representatives, who, for obvious reasons, remain anonymous. However, they were to confirm to the agency that in the middle of the year they will start producing 7-inch OLED displays with a resolution of 720p, which are intended for Nintendo, resp. successor to a successful console.

“Samsung will start mass production of OLED panels in June, the monthly goal is to prepare less than a million pieces,” Bloomberg refers to its sources. In July, the first batch is to travel to the lines, where the new equipment will be assembled, so that it is ready for possible launch in the next Christmas. “The OLED panel does not have such high consumption, offers higher contrast and probably faster response compared to the current LCD Nintendo Switch,” said Jošio Tamura from the consulting company DSCC for Bloomberg. The involvement of the OLED panel also seems to be a suitable marketing step, but according to Bloomberg, it will not be very appropriate to compare quality to displays in mobile phones. The lower resolution was supposed to enable Nintendo to save money, and also taking into account the 7-inch diagonal, certain compromises can arise compared to the most expensive phones.

If Nintendo prepared a new dock that would not only serve as a cradle with ports, but offer the device extra performance, then we can start talking carefully about playing in 4K on the Switch as well.

Furthermore, the text again mentions the 4K resolution, which according to speculation is taken into account when connecting to the dock. But while so far we have talked about this output as an option that may not be used for games, analyst Matthew Kanterman in the quoted article comes up with the phrase “4K graphics”. According to the analyst, this approach could make Nintendo more significant in its competitive struggle with Sony and Microsoft, but these considerations do not seem likely to us without interfering with the form and functions of the dock. However, if Nintendo prepared a new one plastic compartment, which would not only serve as a cradle with ports, but offer the device extra performance, then we can be careful about playing in 4K on the Switch. As in the introduction, however, we can only refer to previous speculations at this point and wait for Nintendo’s announcement.

But that may not be the case for a long time, President Shuntaro Furukawa suggested in February, stating that in the foreseeable future they really have nothing to show how long it has been. for the foreseeable future but it can be very relative. Plans are changing, and given the current situation in the world, for example, Nintendo can only wait until it has enough pieces produced to avoid a repeat of the situation around the PS5 and Xbox Series.
