Siri Remote does not connect to Apple TV
At the end of last year, Apple released a new generation of the Apple TV, the Apple TV 4K 2022. The Siri Remote also received a small update with this new generation of Apple TV. The new remote control is equipped with a USB-C connection. With this, Apple is getting ahead of the decision of European legislation. This requires that from 2024 all electronic devices must have such a connection.

The Siri Remote has caused problems in recent months when using the Apple TV 4K 2022. The remote control had trouble connecting to the Apple TV. If the connection did succeed, this connection was often broken again within a few minutes. Apple has now released a new update, which should solve the problems with the Siri Remote.
Apple launches tvOS 16.3.3
The new update, tvOS 16.3.3, is completely focused on fixing the problems with the Siri Remote. The remote control issue only affects the Apple TV 4K 2022, so Apple has released tvOS 16.3.3 only for this generation of Apple TV. You update your Apple TV in the following way:
- Go to Settings’;
- Choose ‘System’;
- Then open ‘Software updates’;
- Select ‘Update software’;
- Choose ‘Download and install’ to update your Apple TV.
After installing the update, the problems with the Siri Remote should have been resolved. Don’t see the update? Then check whether your Apple TV is connected to the internet and whether you have the latest generation of Apple TV 4K. The update was released today by Apple and is available for download by anyone.
