Since the beginning of the afternoon there has been a major outage at Google. The company is facing various problems with the various services. Gmail, Google and YouTube are inaccessible.

There is an outage at Google. Various services are experiencing problems with this. This may mean that a service cannot be used, or that, for example, e-mails cannot be received or sent. Not only the websites are down, but the (mobile) apps are also facing problems.

Services that are down include Google Drive, Gmail and YouTube. However, it also affects the Google Play Store, where no content is loaded and the pages remain empty. In addition, game service Google Stadia, Hangouts, the Google Home app and Nest products also seem to be experiencing problems due to this malfunction. Google Calendar does not seem to work for some users, although this is not the case for everyone.

At the moment it is not known when the fault will be resolved. As soon as more is known about this, we will of course keep you informed. In that case, we will update this article with new information.

Update 2:00 pm: it seems that Google has found the cause and fixed the malfunction.
