PlayStation 5 sellers are fed up
Sellers who resell a PlayStation 5 for a higher price are tired of being put in a bad light.
Getting a PlayStation 5 is incredibly difficult. However, on trading sites you can find copies that are resold for a hefty additional price. People who offer the console in this form are called scalpers. And they don’t have the best reputation.
But the scalpers have made themselves heard. In a message on Forbes, PlayStation 5 sellers say they are fed up with being put away in a negative way. They say they see themselves as an intermediary and that they deliver on supply and demand. That may of course be the case, yet it is very crooked that they buy up the market and ordinary consumers are left behind.
The solution must ultimately come from Sony. If the Japanese tech company has enough copies of the PS5 in stock at the stores, then the so-called scalpers no longer have any right to exist. After all, the PlayStation 5 sellers have nothing to sell if you can just go to the store for the console.
Unfortunately, that is easier said than done. The scarcity is expected to continue in the coming months. And that means that the PlayStation 5 sellers can still earn good money in 2021 from reselling the console for extortionate prices.
