Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are compared hands-on in new video

It won’t be long before Google officially announces its new Pixel 7 device, but that won’t be a very exciting day: a lot has already come out about Pixel 7. In a new video from Unbox Therapy, for example, you can already see how they compare to each other and to predecessor Pixel 6.

Pixel 7 comparison

Unbox Therapy received a Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro in the color Obsidian from Google. In the video, he holds the phones side by side, as well as next to their predecessor. Here you can see the difference in size between the devices. On the boot screen we see that Pixel 7 has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage memory. Pixel 7 Pro has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. EVT1.1 can be seen on the devices, which stands for ‘engineering verification test’. This means that it is still a status from the early development process of the phones.

Predecessor Pixel 6 is in any case bigger than Pixel 7 with its thinner bezels. Pixel 6 is 74.92 millimeters wide and weighs 205 grams. Pixel 7 is 73.20 millimeters and weighs 195 grams. The same goes for Pro: the width is 75.89 millimeters on the old and 76.68 millimeters on the new. The weight is more similar: it saves 1 gram (7 Pro is 209 grams and Pixel 7 is 208 grams). Although: it can still differ in the final product, because the hardware can still change before the launch of the devices.

In any case, it’s nice to have more imagery and context with Google’s upcoming gadget. Pixel may sometimes have some problems, at the same time they are very popular devices among Android fans in general. We will probably know more on October 6, because then the announcement would take place.
