Phil Schiller (Apple) deactivates his Twitter account

Phil Schiller has decided to deactivate his Twitter account. The manager who manages the App Store, the company’s keynotes and who is titled Apple Fellow, is no longer present on the social network following recent changes implemented by Elon Musk since his acquisition for 44 billion dollars.

On Twitter, Phil Schiller occasionally shared new Apple products, services, applications and other initiatives. He had more than 200,000 subscribers and his account was created in November 2008. But that is now ancient history since the main interested party has cut everything. This account does not exist. Try performing another search »indicates their account page (@pschiller).

This deactivation was spotted hours after Elon Musk agreed to reinstate Donald Trump’s account, as well as other people. This followed a poll from the new Twitter boss asking whether to reactivate the former US president’s account. The “yes” won with 51.8% after more than 15 million votes.

Also, Tim Cook reacted this week to the acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk, with the fact that the billionaire wants to promote freedom of expression. The Apple boss said he hopes Twitter will maintain its moderation standard under the new leadership.
