With Anno 1800, one of the most popular and successful representatives of the building genre is making the leap to the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. With a bit of luck you can even start gambling this year.

Anno 1800 will also be released for PlayStation and Xbox

So far, every main part of the Anno series has only appeared on the PC. Anno 1800 ends this tradition now. In a blog post on Anno Union, developer Blue Byte announces that part of the development team is currently working on upgrading the base game Anno 1800 Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Amazon Luna bring to.

In November you can try out how well it worked. You can now also register for a technical test. For this you have to sign a non-disclosure agreement and of course also have an appropriate Xbox or PlayStation console. You also need a Ubisoft Connect account to log in. You will then be informed by e-mail whether you have been selected (source: Anno Union).

Anno 1800 on PS5 and Xbox: fans still have to wait

There is currently no more information about the console release of Anno 1800. The blog post only mentions that there will be more information about the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions in early 2023. Construction fans with consoles will have to be patient. The developers also talk about to bring only the base game to the consoles at first. The numerous DLCs will probably not be available right at the start.

The Anno series has already made a few trips away from the PC. But it has changed with the games for Nintendo DS or Wii never considered a complete port of the main games. They were previously only available for PC. The popular gaming platform Steam has to do without Anno 1800 of all things. The reason for this is an exclusive agreement with the Epic Games Store.
