Patricia: “I tried to make a sex tape with an ex-boyfriend”

Once in a very distant past I tried to make a kind of sex tape with an ex-boyfriend to make. Just because we were young, experimenting and the danger of the internet was not there mattered. But once we rewatched our escapades, I had a Rachel and Ross moment. Like ‘no, no NO!!!!’ We immediately deleted the recordings and that was the end of it. Shivers still run through my body. To be fair, I have to say that I wasn’t really happy in my young adult body either. I thought I was just a little too fat and too white, but I was mostly insecure.

Pam
In my eyes, I was the opposite of 90s icon Pamela Anderson. Completely unexpectedly, she re-entered my life last week. And how! So there is now a real documentary on Netflix about Pam. With a slightly nostalgic feeling I thought ‘Nice, I’ll just watch a little piece’, not knowing that she would then end up at number one in my list of out-of-the-box icons. Seriously, I was really a bit overwhelmed because of my feelings towards her.
Yes, the Baywatch theme song was my teen too anthem and it was nice to hear again “Some people stand in the darkness, afraid to step in to the light…tu-nu-nu…” And yes, my father also had a Playboy lying with Pam under his bed and that she liked to marry so-called bad boy like Tommy Lee and Kid Rock I also knew, but really nothing more.

So I never expected that in 2023 I would suddenly be a fan of Pam. But why then Patricia? Well, for several reasons; she is 100% herself, she is 100% one survivor (abused for years as a child by a babysitter), she is 100% for love and she is someone who performed her mother role 100%. Go see it! Her sons are also getting it word and the love and respect for their special mother splashes off the screen. And of course isn’t it nice that your mom made a sex tape out there has, but Pam could totally do that do nothing about it. These images were stolen from her house.
So I never expected that in 2023 I would suddenly be a fan of Pam.
Inspiration
The hardest thing for me to watch was that she had to defend herself in court to get the rights to that tape back. And where her integrity was compromised, under the guise: ‘You’re asking for this, you’re also in Playboy’. As if you then lose your right to privacy?! Fortunately, we look at consent differently today. And the woman always gets more rights. You know, it’s so easy to judge. Pam, you inspired me. I and wish you all the love in the world and if you feel like it in a sixth marriage… Nice job!
