Bored Apes Club worth a lot of money

Making pictures of bored monkeys and making a huge amount of money with it, it’s possible! Read here how much the Bored Apes Yacht Club is worth.

Yuga Labs is the owner of the Bored Apes Yacht Club (BAYC). These are NFTs that have all been sold. That provides a lot of money, because the monkeys are immensely popular. And then take over your other companies: Crypto Punks and Meebits. The company also announced the listing of the ApeCoin token on leading exchanges.

The company previously raised $450 million from major investors such as a16z crypto, web3 gaming company Animoca Brands and FTX cryptocurrency exchange. Now it is valued at over $4 billion. Not bad for a company that hasn’t been around that long. And just like any other business with money, announce that you have plans to enter the metaverse.

Okay, but back for a second: what is the Bored Ape Yacht Club? It is a product of Yuga Labs, a collection of digital monkey avatars, and has generated the most hype in the web3 world. There are a large number of famous owners, with musicians like Snoop Dogg, Timbaland and Diplo; Hollywood celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and Paris Hilton; and athletes such as Neymar, Serena Williams and Steph Curry who all own some of the art.

The launch was in April 2021 and each piece sold for 0.08 ether ($190). While all of the original 10,000 monkeys have been sold, the resale of these NFTs generates millions per month. Earlier this year, BAYC passed total revenue of $1 billion.

Because it has become a hype, it is worth so much money. It’s smart to let everyone dream of having a monkey, because then you belong. So they are going to expand this. How? They don’t quite know yet. But it is clear that there are going to be projects such as their own metaverse, called Otherside, and play-to-earn games. The company aims to do all things online: virtual land sales, entertainment, NFTs and more.
