Parler social network is back after 1 month offline
Talk is available again, after being offline for a month following an outage by Amazon Web Services (AWS). The controversial social network announces that users who already had an account can log in. Those who want to register will have to wait until next week.
Talking is online again
Talking is therefore back, but the old messages are not there. Only accounts could be transferred. Some have already started to publish, according to The Verge. This is particularly the case of Sean Hannity, presenter of the American channel Fox News.
Why is Parler considered a controversial social network? It is not (officially) attached to any political party. But it turns out that a lot of conservative Americans joined in and shared some ideas that would not pass on other platforms. For example, much of the Washington Capitol invasion was planned on Speak.
In view of the situation and the lack of moderation, Apple and Google have decided to withdraw the application from the social network of the App Store and the Play Store. As for Amazon, it cut off access. Parler had actually chosen Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting. There is currently no information on the new host.
