If Paramount Plus allows me to tell my stories about people and society, then that gives me a bit of freedom. The Paramount studio also has a long and interesting tradition for me. And I have the feeling that the direction in terms of content is right.

For “Game of Thrones” actor Marc Rissmann, who will be seen in the western epic “1883”, the release gala was anything but a routine event: “It’s something special for me because I… show, with which we premiered a year ago, to bring home to my hometown of Berlin.”

Goal: 100 million subscribers worldwide

In the meantime, Sabine Anger, Susanne Schildknecht and Till Weidemüller will be in charge of Paramount Plus for the German-speaking market. Anger about the start of BASIC thinking in Germany:

Everyone who is active in the streaming sector wants to impress with their content. The extent to which we compete with others, however, will be decided by the consumer. We are well positioned for this.

However, Sabine Anger did not name the targeted number of subscriptions for Germany. Just as little as Marco Nobili, International Manager of Paramount Plus, who communicated the global goal:

We expect a lot and Germany is one of the biggest streaming markets. We have a number for Germany in our mind, but we will keep it in our heart. By the end of 2024 we will reach 100 million subscribers all around the world.
