Beginner Build for the Paladin (Levels 1 to 20)
The paladin’s strongest and easiest skill in Normal difficulty is the ability Holy fire. The aura not only amplifies all your attacks with fire damage but also also automatically inflicts damage to all enemies in the area. As a result, some monsters die all by themselves, so that you can strategically focus on individual opponents in most situations. As a primary attack skill, you put a point in zeal.
Up to level 20 we recommend the following skill points and attributes:
- 45 strength
- All remaining points in vitality
Level | capability |
2 | Power |
3 | victim |
4-5 | Resistance to fire |
6-9 | Holy fire |
10 | Knock down |
11 | – |
12th | Rush + zeal |
13-20 | Holy fire |
From level 20 you can finally reset your values and skills at Akara in order to focus on a build around Blessed hammer to specialize. However, if you enjoy the previous style of play, you can continue to use Holy Fire without any problems and only kill in the nightmare difficulty level.
As soon as you have the maximum of the skill Holy fire you can in this case all other points in Resistance to fire put. Increased by the synergy of the two skills every point in this skill continues your damage with holy fire.
Hammerdin: endgame build for the paladin (level 20 to 99)
At the latest as soon as you reach the level of difficulty nightmare, you should reset your values and skills and to Blessed hammer switch. This build is also called Hammerdin known.
- Enough strength and skillto be able to carry your gear

Despite | 1 |
Thrive | 1 |
Power | 1 |
Blessed guidance | 1 |
concentration | 1 |

Knock down | 1 |
Rush | 1 |
With all the other skill points, you finally bring the following skills in this order to their maximum.
- Blessed hammer
- concentration
- Thrive
- Blessed leadership
- Holy shield
This means, for example, that you will only then receive additional points in Blessed leadership invested as soon as Thrive has reached the maximum. If you change your build right from level 20, you will have some talent points left over. You can do this evenly in Blessed hammer and concentration invest, as the maximum level of your skills is tied to your level.
Hammerdin’s style of play
Activate your aura concentration at any time in combatto increase your damage. Your primary skill is Blessed Hammer. At the beginning you have to get used to the trajectory of the hammers a little to be able to reliably hit your targets. All other points in Thrive and Blessed leadership increase the bonus you get through concentration receive. Holy shield however, increases your chances of blocking massively in the endgame.
Between fights you can use the aura Thrive activate and with the ability Rush rush to the next quest goal or boss.
Blessed Hammer deals magical damage. In the difficulty levels Nightmare and Hell you will get up hit a few enemies immune to magical damage. In this case, you can do it with the ability Holy lightning fight and let your mercenary help you.
